Theresa Marie Cobb Williams

September 2, 1957 ~ November 9, 2022

Theresa Marie Cobb Williams, a long-time resident of Central, LA., passed away on November 9, 2022 after a short battle with ALS.  She was born September 2, 1957 in Danville, IL, spent her childhood in Redondo Beach, CA, and moved to Central, LA where she graduated from Central High School in 1975.  She retired as an accountant with the State of Louisiana after 26 years, and then worked part-time as a bookkeeper for Camp Istrouma Methodist Camp and Retreat Center for 7 years.

Theresa was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.  She showed unwavering spirit and strength throughout her life, and her greatest joy was being with family and becoming “Grammy” to her seven grandchildren.  She was also an avid supporter of Camp Istrouma and its mission.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Randall Williams Sr; son, Randall Clay  Williams Jr; son, Russell Williams and wife Amanda; daughter, Teri Hammett and husband Morgan; and grandchildren Samuel, Layla, Audrey, Annabelle, Logan, James and Emma.  She is also survived by her siblings Robert Cobb Jr (Nancy), Donald Cobb (Barbara), Michael Cobb, Karen Anderson (Victor), Thomas Cobb (Sherri) and many nieces and nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents Betty and Robert Cobb, and her nephew Phillip Craig Cobb.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs for visitation on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 5-7pm with services at 7pm.  An additional scattering of ashes ceremony will occur in the near future at Camp Istrouma at a butterfly memorial garden that will be erected in her honor.  The family would like to thank her medical team and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for their love and support.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Team Gleason (https://teamgleason.org/donate/) an organization dedicated to serving people with ALS.
