John Kenneth McMorris, Sr., of Watson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 1:25 p.m.at the age of 78. He was born on September 17, 1942, to the late Romie and Winnie Lee Curtis McMorris. He retired from Livingston State Bank as a Banking Manager, for the Livingston Branch. In 1983, he went to work at the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and retired as a Supervisor in the Uniform Patrol Division, in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being a cattleman, attending LSU girl’s basketball games, riding his side by side around his property and camping. Visitation will be held at Live Oak Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 beginning at 10:00am. Bro. Johnny Morgan will conduct funeral services at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Reeves McMorris; daughters, Lynn McMorris Palmer and husband Dwaine, Darla McMorris Boudreaux and husband Gerry, son; John Kenneth (Ken) McMorris Jr. and wife Allison; nine grandchildren, Megan Palmer Stroud, Morgan Palmer Graham, Mallory Palmer Hebert, Madison Boudreaux, Anna Boudreaux, Ella Boudreaux, Leeann McMorris, Kendyl Carpenter, and Hunter McMorris; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Lee McMorris and wife Julia, and a sister Connie McMorris Pendarvis. He is proceeded in death by his great-granddaughter Isabella Leigh Graham. Pallbearers; John Kenneth (Ken) McMorris, Jr., Dwaine Palmer, Gerry Boudreaux, Doug Stroud, Drew Graham, Franky Hebert, and Honorary Pallbearer, Ronnie Roe. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Live Oak Baptist Church designated to the Obedience to Death ministry.
