August 24, 1943 ~ January 6, 2021

Roy J. Procell passed away at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice on Wednesday January 06, 2021 at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with Cancer. Roy was born on August 24, 1943 to Albert and Edna Mitchell Procell of Coushatta, Louisiana. He was a long-time resident of Denham Springs. He retired from F.G. Sullivan Construction at the age of 62. However, he maintained an active lifestyle with a lawn service until he became ill last year. Roy loved softball, the Saints, working in the yard, and “fixing” his truck. He had a passion for music and enjoyed entertaining everyone with his karaoke. He was high on life and never met a stranger. His smile was contagious. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his two daughters Rhonda Davis and husband Greg, and Becky Procell Adcock; sons Richard Procell, Jason Procell, Kristopher (John boy) Kestler, and Royce Matherne. Roy had seven grandchildren as well as two great grandchildren. Brothers are Charles Procell and Wilmer Procell. Sisters are Barbara Jean Kelly and Mary Ann Procell. He had several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Edna Procell; daughter Brandi Procell Perez; brothers Albert (Boogie) Procell Jr., Robert Earl Procell Sr., Joe (Junior) Procell, and Rufus Procell; sister Ruby Procell Spears. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday 01/10/2021 at 8:30 AM-10 AM with services at 10 AM. A celebration of life will follow directly after services at the home of Greg and Rhonda Davis in Denham Springs. Thank you to his closest friends, Mr. Paul and Mr. Glynn for always being present. Special thanks to Carrie with Ochsner Home Health, the nurses and physicians with Ochsner Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, and to the wonderful staff of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice.
