Dwan passed away on January 23, 2021 at 9:50 am. She was born on May 2, 1963 to Julius Thomas Bersuder Sr and Eunice Newman Bersuder. She was raised in Baton Rouge and graduated from Bel Air High School in 1980. She is survived by her 2 children, Benjamin Robert Boeneke and Laural Alyse Mizell and her 2 brothers Julius Bersuder Jr and Gary Bersuder. Dwan was known as a very confident and strong woman. Some members of the church she attended would call her “Sarge” because of her take charge attitude. Her most beloved hobby was to bake cookies, cakes, pies and various other treats. She was a very loving and giving person, always willing to sacrifice for others. She will be missed dearly.

Dear family, I met Dwan over the phone, thru her cousin Kathy, when she had some legal questions. Her specialness was immediately shown on the phone. She was struggling with the repair of her home and the refusal of her husband to sufficiently help for their child and the house. She was hurting and needed surgery. It was very sad to hear her pain. I liked her very much just by that call. It is tragic she was taken by the pandemic. She deserved so much more. My deep sympathy, Denise.

Ben, Laural, Gary & Julius, So sad for your loss. So many families are losing loved ones from this horrible pandemic an un-presidented tragedy. Hope you can hold onto the thought that Your Mom and sister is in the loving arms of God and her Mom Aunt Eunice, they’ve got some catching up to do. My love and rewards. Dee & Becky

    To the family of Dwan,
Please except my deepest sympathy for your loss. I only met Dwan a few times but she was a joyful and kind soul. She and I shared the same passion of baking sweets for others. Praying for the family during this very difficult time.
