I just heard this news and want the entire Jeane family to know they are in my prayers. Mr. WA was one of the finest men I have ever been blessed to know. I am extremely sorry for your loss, but it’s obvious that Mr. WA is in heaven now.

    Jeane family
Thinking of you at this time. We are thankful for the special memories that we have of WA. We will miss the visits that we had with him . Sometimes it was just in a corner but he was always interested in us and the family.
We are glad that he kept steady and true as we heard in the service and finished the race in honor. This will be a comfort to you all.
    Much Love to you all.

Mr. WA was an exceptional man. I am not sure I can find words to describe him. He was not complex or complicated, yet he was much beyond ordinary, or “good”, or remarkable… he was indeed exceptional.

Mr. WA made everyone he met feel special. If you were ever around him, you know exactly what I mean. He had a genuine interest in each person. As children, we all looked up to him as “one of the dads” – that wonderful collection of parents that bonded together in fellowship and encouraged all of us young ones with godly sincerity.

During my years at LSU, Sunday morning meeting was in the Jeane home. It was then that I had the privilege of Mr. WA’s influence as our elder. Not complicated, but extremely honest, authentic, and wise. He led his little flock with an open heart, humility, and simply demonstrated constant faith in the teachings of Jesus… no matter what life threw at him.

WA and Doris were perfectly safe examples of the mutual love and respect of a godly couple.

Craig, Kelli, Kevin, Karen, and Kirk: you have a marvelous heritage. I expect your grief is intense…grief is the price of love… maybe even more intense to lose someone so special. You can be so thankful.

Our very best wishes to your family. With love and care, Gary & Susan.

    Jeane Family
We are sad for you who are feeling sorrow, but we are happy for WA as he has hung his shield in victory. Glad for examples of faithfulness. We remember the times we were able to visit and the warm hospitality that was felt it WA and Doris’ home. We valued our time with them when they visited Washington. Thinking of you as you remember him. May God’s comfort be felt.
