Dearest Dale’s, Marty and I were saddened to hear the news of Bob’s passing. We knew him from a distance but through stories Marilyn and John would share over the years. My picture of him visually is the one of him above I believe in Antarctica.with Lydia and in person from the family events that bring close families together , weddings and life celebrations. But the picture of him with the family is the picture of a life well lived. A family that shares the joy of living and getting together as often as able. That’s what told us he was a great Dad and provider. My heart goes out to each of you. I pray for strength and continued closeness . Love, Carol and Marty♥️ (Marilyn’s sister and husband

Geri and I are sad, but we have much gratitude and thanks for Bob & Mary Jane getting us both hooked on the wonderful game of bridge. They were excellent ambassadors for the game. Bob always had a nice low-key way as director when he was called to a table for a goof, ‘What’d you do that for?” with a little chuckle.

I enjoyed a few breakfasts with Bob and Jonathan Scharf at the Baton Rouge regional two years ago. Their spirit was great, they were just having fun playing cards, as it should be.

Enjoyed partnering with Bob at the bridge table on many occasions. Bob was always a very skillful bridge player. He will be greatly missed.
