March 19, 1953 – March 14, 2021

David Paul France lovingly known as “The Hippie” 67, of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Born in Evansville, Indiana on March 19, 1953, Hippie enjoyed music and spending time with friends and family. Those lucky enough to know Hippie will always remember his straight forward, outspoken, and often humorous nature. Those left to mourn his death include Candice Butterfield, whom he referred to as ‘The Chosen One’,  dear friend Karen Plunkett, Devoted love Teresa France, Dona Dunn, a son Jared France of Indiana, a daughter Brittany McDonald of South Carolina, grand children Christian France, Lexi France, and Ethan McDonald, a sister Angi (Greg) Beasley, a niece Dezza (Jay) Kemper, the and many friends.  Hippie was proceeded in death by his father Thomas France, mother Thelma Wilson, grandparents Fred (Dezza) Wilson and his beloved Stephanie Butterfield. In accordance with his wishes Hippie was cremated after his death. A memorial service will be held  at Tipsy River located at 45020 Manny Gautreau Rd, Prairieville, LA 70769 Saturday March 27, 2021 at  3:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dana Trahan of One Life Church, Port Vincent, LA.

    I meet him once and feel like I knew him my whole life. He was real and honest. Wish I could have got to spend more time with him. We will meet again my Brother. ✝️

    Well my dear I will miss you and your way with words, but I will keep you in my heart and memory forever, thank you for our son and the love we had, until I see you again watch over us all and keep a eye on our grandchildren and great grandchildren! Till I see you again love fly with the Angels! You will be missed, in my heart always
