Billy “Butch” Conn Reed, age 76, crossed over peacefully at his home on May 18,2021. Born June 14, 1944 in Evangeline, LA, lived in Baker, LA surrounded by family and friends.

 

Billy was proud to have served as a Marine followed by a life long career in Sales. He was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church. Billy enjoyed cooking and passing a spirited good time with his family and friends. His audacious personality and boisterous laugh will be missed.

 

Billy is survived by Sandra K. Pettitt, his loving companion of 18 years, his daughters Angel Dianne Reed and Rony Carolyn Reed, Sons BJ Reed and Randall Botts. Grandchildren Chandler Reed Matlosz, Cooper James Stonecipher, Conley Reed Stonecipher, Harper Lynn Holt, Wesley Adam Reed, Harrison James Reed, and Madison Claire Reed.  Sisters Lovey Reed, Carole “Sue Sue” Angelloz, Loretta Kreig (brother in law Danny Kreig), Patricia Buch (brother in law Graylon Buch), and Sandra Durio. Brothers Randy Reed (sister in law Lura Reed), Carl Reed (sister in law Aide` Reed), Al Ardoin (sister in law Della Ardoin),  Michael Gotte and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Clarphy Reed and Marie Venner Leger.  Audrey Reed, brother Roy Ardoin and Sister Theresa Coles. Brothers  in law Johnny Angelloz and Chris Janise. Nephew Tommy Reed.

 

Special Thanks to his caregiver Atlantis Harris with First Name Basis, Physical Therapist Lance Lemoine with Audubon Home Health, Father Jerry Phillips, Dr. Ryan Richard, Dr. Terry Zellmer, Dr. Kyle Dean and Dr. Pavani Ellipeddi for all their extra loving care, support and prayers.

 

No services will be held as per Billy’s request. His ashes will be laid to rest at a later date.

    It has been 1 Year and 3 days since Billy’s passing. I miss him evey day still. We were brothers in every way except blood. I hope and pray to meet him in the after life.

    Very sorry for your loss Sandy & Family. Billy was a wonderful man & I was honored to have known him. I will think of him often & reminisce of the times spent together. God Speed & Semper Fidelis!

    So very sorry! Grew up with Billy in Grosse Tete Graduated Shady Grove with him. He was one of our gang. Class mates 63. Loved him dearly! Billy you will be missed💕
