June 6, 1951 – June 8, 2021

Dennis James Keenan, a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  Born in Flushing, NY (June 6, 1951) and raised in Farmingdale, NY.  He was a retired, 3rd generation member of the Steamfitters Local Union 638 in New York.  He was a resident of Greenwell Springs, La for over 30 years where he lived with his beloved wife (Patsy Womack Keenan) of 45 years.  His pride and joy were his surviving family members: wife, Patsy Womack Keenan, son and daughter-in-law, John and Ashley Keenan; daughter and son-in-law, D’Ann and Ryan Wells, and his 4 grandchildren (Baylor and Dylan Wells, and Cassidy and John Paul Keenan).  Additional surviving family members include his father, John Paul Keenan; sister, Kathy Keenan, sisters-in-law, Cathy Lennier, Vicky Womack, and Despo (Tommy) White; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Sue) Womack, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Keenan; brother, John Paul Keenan; mother-in-law, Despo Womack; and brother-in-law, James Womack.  A Memorial service will be held at Journey Church in Greenwell Springs, LA on Thursday June 17, 2021 @1pm.

    Dennis was my friend who was as good to me as a brother. His leaving is such a loss in my life. .o sadly hate to see him go.
