With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Gavin Ladner, 20, of Walker. Our son, grandson, brother, family member and friend passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. If you knew him well or barely at all, he always left you thinking. Whether it was about his wit, his humor, or how his sometimes inappropriate comments / behavior could be, he left his mark. Those who knew him, lost a shining light in their life. Gavin loved so many, and was loved by so many more. This gentle, caring, loving soul has left a permanent mark etched in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all. He has left us now and we will never be the same again. He is survived by his parents Wayne and Angela Ladner, his brother Ethan Ladner, of Walker, LA, maternal grandparents Randy and Gloria Robertson, and his paternal grandmother Dora Ladner, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Gavin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Laura Farris, his Uncle Michael Ladner, his great grandmother Mary W. Palmer (Ging Gong), his Uncle George Mulkey, and his Aunt Ashley Ladner. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on July 12, 2021 from 2 PM to 4PM with a 4 PM service and cremation following. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com.

To Wayne and the entire Gavin Ladner family and friends I’m so sorry for yalls lost! He was a great young man and this is so heartbreaking that he left the world so young . BUT GOD HAS HIM NOW!!GOD HAS SET HIM FREE! I LOVE YALL I’m praying for yall

    I’m Free:
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free,
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I’ve found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
