Frank James Schiro, 80, left this world and joined his Lord and Savior on July 24, 2021.  His firm belief in Jesus and devotion to his family supported him through his battle with cancer. Frank was born to the late Anthony “Tony” and Anna Schiro in Independence, LA.  He was a resident of Walker, LA where you could always find him supporting the Walker Wildcats or enjoying any LSU sporting event.  Frank was blessed with a large family.  He married his best friend, Glenda Kay Schiro, on April 4, 1970. He spent many years dedicated to Walker Parks and Recreation where he served as the Director of the Biddy Basketball Program, he was also a coach and a mentor to young kids.  He is survived by his wife, Glenda Kay; his son Damon and his wife, Jessica; daughter Jan Schiro; and son Anthony and his wife Tara; his grandchildren Alyssa Ard, Graham and Bentley Schiro, and step grandchildren Caitlyn and Grayson Boyd and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nick Schiro; and sisters, Mary Ann Schiro and Phiney Misita. Visitation will be held at Judson Baptist Church, Tuesday, July 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will resume Wednesday, July 28, from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Pinnacle Home Health and Hospice for the personal care to our family. Rest In Peace, bro-in-law. We will miss you and your love of sports. Wonder what you would think about TX/OK moving to the SEC? No doubt your commentary would be interesting as always. Love you!
