I will miss my oldest brother. I know it has almost been a year, and I am so sorry I couldn’t make it to the funeral. I love all of y’all. It is still so hard to talk about him. Life has been very difficult lately for everyone. I am praying for my family. I hope to see y’all again if not in this life, the next.

You were always there for anyone who needed you. You went above and beyond for the people you loved. You truly had a heart of gold. Every time I hear Dirt Road Anthem, or see a big rig (especially a Peterbilt), I think of you. I’ll miss our random 4am phone calls and all your crazy stories. God graced me with knowing you in this life and, I hope he does so again in the next. I’ll love and miss you forever.

In the brief time that I’ve known Valzie, I’ve come to known him for his hearty laugh, sense of humor, infectious smile, and zest for life. He was a loyal friend who was always there when you needed him and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Especially when it came to a car that wouldn’t crank or something broken that needed work. Taken too soon, but your memory will live on in each of our hearts forever.
