Brandon “Dino” Gregory O’Neal born May 20th 1980 passed away unexpectedly August 12, 2021. He was a beloved member of the Central Community.  He served 11 years as an assistant coach of the Central High School football team.  Brandon was a class of 1998 Walker High graduate and SELU graduate of 2005.  His dedication, grit, and passion was present through all the players he influenced in his time as a coach. He was an LSU football fan.  Traveled to numerous road games and could always be seen with his lucky game day attire and a Sonic Route 44 Coke Zero to keep a distinct superstition alive. He was survived by his fur baby Cannon, his parents Charles O’Neal and Ronnel Fortenberry, his sister Krysten O’Neal and niece Micah-Lyn Landry.  His adopted nieces and nephews Aidan, Kendall, Charlie Smith, Lyric and Lennon Pourciau, and Cole Clark.  Aunts and Uncles Vanessa O’Neal Hayes (Michael), Doris O’Neal Boudreaux (John), Margarette O’Neal Day, Edward O’Neal, Stan O’Neal, Sherry Hill Palmer (Ronnie), Robbie Crotwell Hill and Robbie Ray Hill (Sondra). Visitation will be held at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, on Friday August 20, 2021 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation resumes at the church on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10am until Funeral Service at 12pm. Burial will follow in Felder Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Roger Clark, Justin Cox, Justin Hutchinson, Michael Kepper, Justin Mizell, Jeremy Pourciau, Colbi Rosenthal, Justin Smith, Craig Weems, Ted Weems. Honorary pallbearers are each and every player and student he had the pleasure of encouraging, motivating, and mentoring. Preceded in death by Grandparents Audrey Yargus Crotwell, D.C. Crotwell and Carl Fortenberry, Charles Gregory, Arthemese Lesage O’Neal, Uncle George O’Neal and cousin Stephen O’Neal.

    Jeremy and Candice Pourciau….my heart breaks for the loss of your “brother”. He loved y’all so much. We are also so blessed to have known him. I wish I could take the pain away from y’all, Lyric and Lennon. Prayers for y’all as well as his family.
