Clayton Timothy Smith passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 in a tragic vehicle accident in Denham Springs at the age of 46. He was a current resident of Greenwell Springs, LA. He was a master mechanic for 28 years. Visitation will be held at New Covenant Church, 215 Florida Ave. SE, Denham Springs, LA 70726 on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 12:30 PM until religious services at 2:30 PM conducted by Pastor Keith Zachary. A graveside service will be held at 5:00 PM at Lea Cemetery, 1905 River Road, Liberty, MS. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Julie Grafton Smith; parents, Tim and Elizabeth Smith; daughter, Kaitlyn Kemp (Evan); sons, Jonathan Smith (Kelsie), Joshua Smith, Samuel Smith, Nathan Smith, Liam Smith, Levi Smith; sister, Sarah Smith; brother, Ben Smith (Robyn); He has one grandchild on the way; mother-in-law, Brenda Pertuis (Gary); father-in-law, Larry Grafton (Marty); numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Grady and Helen Hornsby; paternal grandparents, Clifton and Dolly Smith. He was a member of New Covenant Church in Denham Springs. He loved history, the outdoors, reading and gardening. He was a devoted husband and father and also loved the many other extra kids that were always at his home. Most importantly he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs 225-664-4143 is in charge of arrangements. Please sign our online registry book.

    Was so sorry to hear of your loss. Life is too short sometime, but God needed another angel in heaven. May he grant you peace knowing that Clayton is with him there.

    Clay Smith, what can I say? We had one heck of a journey together, one I will never forget. My heart go out to you, Julie, and your children. God has a reason for everyone of this Earth. Apparently he had better plans for you. God bless you and your family.

    Julie, my sweet niece,, I’m praying GOD gives you the strength, peace and comfort needed to begin this journey. May God look over you and. The children. This is heartbreaking and words are not sufficient but feel my love,, my prayers and find strength, comfort and peace at the feet of Jesus. Wish I could be with you for you are so special to me.     Julie, I am SO SORRY for your loss. I know Clay is in Heaven with our Lord & Savior. He was a good man. My heart goes out to you and your children. Sending you big hugs and lots of prayers.
