Ava Rose Butcher, age 16, a resident of Livingston, La, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2021. Ava attended Doyle High School and played the flute in her earlier school years.

At a young age Ava had a love for reading and over the years that developed into a love of writing and poetry. She was an avid artist and found beauty in many mediums in which she creatively expressed herself. She enjoyed painting, sketching, jewelry making, writing and singing.

 

Ava was a free spirit, had a huge heart and old soul, she was loving and kind. She loved wildflowers, bees, animals, but especially loved all her kitties – Minnie, Sister, Mia, and Kiki. Ava had a great work ethic and enjoyed her time working at Heavenly Snowballs. She was a devoted family member who loved family beach vacations and was always there for everyone to offer a kind word or share a laugh with.

 

Ava is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Smith of Livingston, Louisiana, and her father Eddie Butcher of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Step Father Darrell Smith Jr., her brothers Brandon Butcher and Stefan Gomez, her maternal grandfather Randy Mylius, paternal grandparents David and Judy Butcher, Step-Grandparents Darrell and Sharon Smith Sr., Her Aunt Katherine Alford and Uncle David Alford and lifelong best friend and CUZ Savannah Alford and cousin Dylan Flores, Aunt Jennifer Mylius and Uncle Cody Smith and cousins Ava Smith, CJ Smith, and Wyatt Smith, Aunt Allison Hartley and Uncle Corey Hartley and cousin Mack Hartley, Aunt Ann Sardisco and Uncle Brad Boring and cousins Lauren Naquin and Josh Sardisco, Aunt Beverly Minor and Uncle Royal Minor III and cousin Royal Minor IV, Uncle John Butcher and Aunt Amber Butcher and cousins Lily and Jayden Butcher, and many more family and friends.

 

Ava is preceded in death by her grandmother Lucy Ann Gresham.

 

The family of Ava Butcher would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the many people that have offered their love and support during this very difficult time.

 

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Sunday, August 29, 2021. Visitation begins at 8am and the funeral service to follow at 10am.

    So sorry for your loss. Did not know until I read Ava’s obituary that her step dad my sister ‘s grandson. So its a very small world we live in. I pray for your family. I pray Ava at peace. Send my love to the Butcher and Smith family. Love aunt Barbara Nolan, Ronnell and Rene.

    Ava was such a beautiful young woman I know you are very proud of. I am so very sorry this happened and offer our sincere condolences. May she Rest In Peace.
