I always enjoyed talking with Jason when I visited Carter’s and missed him terribly when he left. I can’t imagine the pain his family is going thru while trying to deal with Hurricane Ida on top of this. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by many.

My sweet baby brother I’m still in disbelief hoping I will somehow wake up from this horrific nightmare but when reality sets in I realize it’s true. I was so proud of you from the moment mama and daddy brought you home from the hospital, I was a little upset because I was no longer the baby but once I laid eyes on you that all changed. I even had mama bring you to my school for show and tell you we’re so cute in your little button up white shirt and red jumper over it. I was standing in front of my whole class smiling with pride telling them about my baby brother. Well Bubba you turn out to be one hell of a man a wonderful loving husband , father ,grandfather and friend to so many. I was so proud you finally found your happiness with Sherry who everyone knows you adored and loved so much. Together y’all accomplished so much to be proud of and I want you to know I am and always was so proud of you and happy for you. This just isn’t fair and I will never understand why you was taken from us at such a young age and so quickly. You wasn’t supposed to go before me and now I’m not sure what to do without my baby brother. The only thing I find comfort in is that you are with mama so I know you are safe and happy. Please watch over us and know that you are loved and missed so much. I love you bubba to the moon and back 💔

I only found out that Jason had gained his wings during prayer meeting last night. He and Sherry were the first friends I had coming here. 3 years ago. His kindness was so greatly appreciated. My heart cries for Sherry and her family. May God wrap His arms around you and let you know you are not alone. Much love

My heart is broken. Jason came into Sherry’s life and gave her the love she needed and deserved. He was the love of her life, her rock, her partner in everything. There are no words for her loss. Sherry, I am so sorry. I wish there was something I could do to help, something I could say to take away your hurt. Jason was a good husband, father, and pops. Y’all made me believe that true love really existed.
