Rita passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at her home in Denham Springs at the age of 80. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM until religious services at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Paul Jones. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Armstrong; sons, Charles Armstrong, John Paul Armstrong, Gary Armstrong (Rene’) and Danny Armstrong; sisters, Betty, Linda, Suzanna and Debbie; brother, Jimmy; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Armstrong; grandson, Garrett Armstrong; brothers, James, Gerald, Sheryl and Jeff; sisters, Helen and Alice. Please sign our online registry book.

Im so glad that I got to be rite by her side to the very end,she was the toughest person I’ve ever met in my whole life, she taught me how to not depend on nobody but urself,she taught me that if u work hard and love ur kids harder is what makes life while and time really does fly by,im truly grateful to have been ur granddaughter,im going to miss you more than I can imagine,I know u will be with us and watching over us all from above I won’t have u hear with me anymore but I have the love you gave me to carry with me the rest of my life you will always be loved and never forgotten .

I’m so glad I got to see her Saturday. Aunt Rita was my favorite aunt growing up.
