Jo Ann Kelley Patterson Lewis was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world after a courageous battle against cancer on October 7, 2021 at the age of 73.

She was born in Meadville, MS to Eula Mae Parker Kelley and Essex Reid Kelley on October 10, 1947. After graduating from high school she married her first husband who was in the Army, and they traveled throughout the US and also lived abroad in Germany for four years.  She moved back to Louisiana to be closer to her ailing mother in 1979.

Jo Ann was a woman of faith and loved serving Jehovah God. She was always a source strength and encouragement for the family and a beautiful selfless soul.  She was spontaneous and adventuresome in nature and her favortite pastime was to jump in her car and take an impromtu roadtrip.

She is survived by her husband James Lewis. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her four children: Julius Van Keys and his wife Victoria, Jewel Denise Keys, Jerome Edward Keys and his wife Valarie and Darrel Gene Patterson.  She is also survived by her brother, Walter Cameron, sisters, Lynder Kelley McWilliams and Bernice Kelley Finley, and a host of grandchildren, Brandon, Juliana, Brianna, Kennedy Ann, Olivia, Julian, Dareunte, Audrey, Journee, Antwon, Kaderylero, Darius and DeShawn.

A special thank you to Constina Davis for your love and support of our dear mother Jo Ann and our family.

The family would also like to Thank You all for your prayers and support during this time.

A memorial service will be held in the near future, details to be announced.

Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore….”
