Douglas Ray Talbot was born to Warren “Joe” and Diann Talbot on August 20, 1956. Doug passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was 65 years old. Doug was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, LA. Doug retired from River Bend (Entergy) in St. Francisville after 20 years and was a current member of Team National. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in St. Francisville, LA. Doug was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved all people, speaking to everyone he came into contact with. He could tell story on top of story. He loved his family with everything he had in him. Doug had four amazing children and eight grandchildren. Daughters, Nicolle Talbot Pierce, Michele Talbot Cox and spouse Joseph Cox, Kristen Talbot Shoemake and spouse Jacob Shoemake and son, Jeremy Talbot. Eight grandchildren, Tristan Blacklock, Peyton Pierce, Hailey Pierce, Brooke Pierce, Braylen Cox, Jade Shoemake, Roland Shoemake and Clara “Rae” Shoemake. Doug has two brothers, Pete Talbot and spouse Kim, Tim Talbot; one sister Jennifer Talbot Ross and spouse George. Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Diann Talbot and son in law Michael Pierce. A gathering will be held at First Baptist Church of St. Francisville, 12404 LA 10 in St. Francisville, LA 70775 LA on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 3:30 pm until Celebration of Life Service at 4:30 pm, conducted by Rev.     My deepest condolences to all the family. I worked with Doug at River Bend on the same crew in operations for several years. He was a great guy on always a joy to be around. We will see him again in a much better place.

    Sorry I could not be there today, my wife, Judy lost her youngest brother this morning at 3:00 am. She was in no condition to go or be left alone.
    Doug was my cousin, friend, and fishing partner. Judy and I will truly miss him.
    RIP we’ll see you in Heaven.

    I am so Truly Sorry to hear of this. Doug and I go way back to the old Sumrall days. I can only imagine the pain Mr. Talbot must be going through along with the rest of his family. Again my prayers go out to his family and friends at this time of sorrow 🙁
