July 26, 1936 – November 7, 2021

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to her eternal home on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was 85 years old. Bessie was a LPN for 32 years, at numerous hospitals in the area. She was member of Northside Baptist Church, Lady Doves, Merry at Heart, Eastern Star Lodge 73 and she also volunteered at the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Bessie loved gardening, visiting family members and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memories three daughters, Nancy McGraw and husband Roy, Pamela Lamb and husband Rusty; Janet Roberson and husband Duncan; ten grandchildren eight; great grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Durand and wife LaJuan, William Durand and wife Elaine, Clarence Durand and wife Brenda; numerous, nieces, nephews and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 12pm until Celebration of Life Service at 2pm. Burial will follow in Beech Ridge Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Jacob Luby, Mark Luby, Derrick McGraw, Cade McGraw, Trevor Lamb, Roy McGraw and Duncan Roberson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Dell Durand; two brothers, Dell Durand, Jr., Kenneth Durand; two sons, Roy Lynn Squyres, Anthony Earl Squyres and one grandson, Raymond Roberson; husband, Benjamin House; friend and father of her children, Roy Squyres. I lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Clear Creek Methodist Cemetery Fund, 264 Ferguson, Loop Pollock, LA 71467. Condolences may be offered at www.sealefuneral.com

    I will miss Ms. Bessie. She was a wonderful lady. I worked with her many years back. I always looked up to her she made everyone feel so very special. She was a true friend and lady.
