  • Celeste Clouatre Myers, 73, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed peacefully at her home on Nov. 16, 2021. She joined her beloved husband of 46years, Don J. Myers as well as her loving daughter, Holly Myers. Celeste graduated in 1966 from Redemptorist High School.  She then became a successful beautician for many years. In a career change, she became the face of guest relations at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino. She loved that role in her life and became known as the little red-headed lady who brought joy to everyone she met.  She enjoyed motorcycle riding with Don and their friends.  Wherever she was, there were sure to be smiles, hugs, balloons and unconditional love.
    Celeste is survived by her son, Brandon L. Myers, daughter, Heather Myers Shelton (Dale), grandchildren; Madeline, William, Lily & Landry. She is also survived by siblings, Carolyn DeLouise, Gene Clouatre, Margorie Wilson and Debra Blanchard and numerous nieces & nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Livingston Joseph & Josephine Clouatre, siblings; LJ Clouatre, Pasty Brown, Tracy Clouatre, Jacquelyn Granier, Gary Clouatre and John Michael Clouatre. The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle Hospice for their loving care and compassion during her last days who brought her peace and comfort. Family and friends are invited to the funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 3808 St. Gerard Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70805 on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11am. A gathering will be followed at Seelos Hall, 5249 Maple Dr.(across the street from the church).

    My Aunt Celeste was one of a kind she never met a stranger loved everyone she was so full of love especially for her kids and grandkids just like my mama she’s another strong woman that was in my life and helped shape me I love you so much and I hope you’re dancing 💕

    To the Myers and Clouatre families, you have my heartfelt sympathy. Ms. Celeste was an amazing woman who brought joy and laughter to me. She will be greatly missed. I’m saddened, but even more so that I won’t be able to attend to the service, having fallen ill with a stroke. If it’s any consolation at all, I will keep you all in my prayers. God bless you.
