On December 6, 2021 Jeanette Y. Jerome passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by love ones.  She was 82 years old.  She was born in Warwick, Georgia to the late Alfred Young, Margie Davis Griffis and step-father William Vernon (Slim) Griffis. She married Joe Jerome on September 28, 1958. Joe & Jeanette raised their children at Eden Baptist Church. The family were active members serving the Lord.  Jeanette loved and cared for her family beyond compare.  She was lovingly known as Mette to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching mysteries on tv.  But she loved the family gathering together most of all.  Jeanette is survived by sons: Donald Joseph Jerome (Christina), Scott Joseph Jerome (Mary), Paul Joseph Jerome (Suzanne); daughter, Marie Joette Ryan (Jim); sisters, Melba Carmichael (Jack), Marilyn Whiddon; grandchildren, Dewayne Jerome, Darrell Jerome, Benjamin Horne, Richard Ryan, Alex J. Jerome, Kristina Ryan James, Ashley Ryan Rhodus; great grand-children, Devan Jerome, Bryson Horne, Quinn Rhodus, Gyth Rhodus, Ashlynn Jerome, Caitarina Ryan, Karli James, Nixie Rhodus, Natalya Ryan, and Presley Jerome.  She was preceded in death by spouse of 62 years, Arlie J. Jerome; 1 sister: Linda Young Black, 2 brothers: William F. (Buddy) Young and Roger Young Sr., Father: Alfred Young, Mother: Margie Davis Griffis, brother-in-law, Randall Whiddon. A funeral service memorializing and celebrating the life of Jeanette Jerome will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm, and the service will commence at 3:00 pm, with Brother Johnny Morgan officiating.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and interment will be at Evergreen Memorial (behind Seale) in the Rose Garden section.
