March 24, 2021 ~ December 12, 2021

Luna Claire McEvoy – Her name means moon, which reflects the sun. That is exactly what Luna did. She reflected the light, the love, and the joy of Jesus Christ to everyone she came in contact with. As she battled cancer, she was resilient and had a smile on her face. Her doctors and nurses adored her. Her blue eyes lit up every room she was in. This little girl, even being eight months old, knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it. She was particular, sassy, and sweet in all the best ways. Luna went to heaven on December 12, 2021, and now is in the arms of Jesus.

Luna was born on March 24, 2021 to parents Joseph and Maci McEvoy. She is the granddaughter of Chris & Laura Hollier, Joyce Havens, and Kelly Niccolini. She is survived by her aunts and uncles, and numerous family and friends.

A service in memory of Luna will be held in the Outreach Center at Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs, Louisiana on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 4:30pm.

Sweet Luna Claire, or “Little Moon” as your parents liked to call you sometimes, I have never met you, but I love you with all my heart. I’m your great-aunt Cheryl and I fell in love with you through pictures and videos that your wonderful parents posted online. They’re so proud of you and they love you so much. Everyone who saw you fell in love with you because you are a bright spirit filled with God’s love. I really wanted to see you grow up, just like I watched your beautiful Mommy grow up, but God loves you so much that He couldn’t bear to be parted from you any longer so He called you back home to be with Him. We will see you again someday and I’ll finally get to bounce you on my knee and kiss those precious cheeks of yours, but until then I know that you’re in good hands with Jesus, your Mawmaw Bea and your Peepaw Carson. We will never forget you, Luna, you will always be our shining angel and you will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Little Moon. ❤

Luna I loved you with all my heart before I even met you. The day I found out about you I can’t even explain the amount of joy I felt. You were my first niece. Since the moment I saw you my heart belonged to you. Even through all the pain and heartache you had a smile on your face. You could make anyone around you happy and forget about everything going on around them. Even though you were only 8 months old you made more of an impact then most people can do in a lifetime. You truly are a very special little girl, and I am very thankful to have called you my niece. I will love you forever and alway and anytime I need to smile and can’t I will look up and remember you.
Love your aunt Nini, Chad, Mia, Myah, and Asher
