Today, the 7th of July (2022) is the BIRTHDAY of our sweet beauty, Pam Holloway Corley.
Even without any FB alerts or calendar reminders, I have always known July 7th was HER day.

This morning, when I went to Pam’s Facebook page to pour out my adoration and well wishes, I saw others wishing her a Happy HEAVENLY Birthday.
    I was floored.
The wind was swept immediately out of my sails.

This newfound knowledge of Pam’s passing led me here.

To Elton, the family and many adoring friends of our precious
    RAY OF SUNSHINE… Pam:

I am so very sad for your loss.
What a massive LOSS it is for all who were blessed to know and love this rare gem of a sweetheart!

Many of you have already been navigating the heartbreak since last December… I’m just entering in to the grief 7 months later.

    Heartbroken!

I sat right next to Pam for 5 years as ophthalmic nurses at Eye Medical Center in Baton Rouge. From day one, we connected and rapidly bonded.
Pam and I were trusted friends of the heart and only sought the good of one another.
Our dear friend ~ Cindy McLane Smith, Pam and I made countless great memories together over that 5 years.

Pam treated every single Opthalmology patient like they were the MOST IMPORTANT PATIENT in all the world. She easily and naturally SPREAD JOY, GOOD CHEER and AUTHENTIC CARE to all who she engaged with.

Not only that, but Pam was truly KIND to all the 50+ women we worked with at EMC.
Pam was easy for all of us to love and trust.

    Pam was a rare gem.
She stood out from the pack because of her good and giving heart that was rooted in such honest authenticity.

In 1996, I moved way out West (Arizona, Colorado).
We didn’t have cell phones nor email addresses back then.
So, sadly, other than birthday and Christmas cards, Pam and I lost touch.
Decades later, we reconnected on Facebook, but she was not active.
    Thus, our communications were sparse.

Even though I am grieved that we weren’t in touch near the end, my LOVE and ADORATION of Pam Holloway Corley was not sparse in my heart.
Any thought of her brought immense joy and thankfulness for the true camaraderie that we shared in from 1989 until 1996-ish when I moved so far away.

I walk close with Je.sus (I’m a faithful follower of His) and will hope to see our sweet girl, again, someday. Surely, Pam will want to whisk me right away to a beautiful white sand beach in Heaven… to sit under palm and coconut trees… with scenic views of an aquamarine-colored sea… all so we can chat the day away, joyously reminisce and praise God for His many goodnesses unto us.

Until then, sweet ray of SUNSHINE, we are left with lingering love in our hearts.
That love will never go away.

I pray that the Lord divinely comforts any hearts that still grieve for our sweet beauty on her birthday (she always did enjoy celebrating on this day).

    God bless you all.

This makes me so very sad. Pam was one of the happiest people I knew. She was fun and a dream to work with. Pam was always able to get “a little pep in my step”. Pam, I will miss you.
