Earl Joseph Guillot died Friday, January 21 at his home in Walker, Louisiana. He was surrounded by his family that supported him after a long struggle of health issues. Earl Joseph Guillot, nicknamed “Tiny” as a child, later tacked on was “Slow Poke” from trucker friends, and now “Pops” from all grandchildren, and most that know him. He attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and Elementary School in Echo Louisiana, served as altar boy under the direction of Father Martinis, and graduated from Fifth Ward High School in Marksville, Louisiana. His interest in printing later took him to commercial newspaper web offset troubleshooter in the Louisiana and Texas areas. A friend introduced him to road construction riding with him delivering materials by dump trucks. That was the beginning of a new career that lasted until his health caused retirement. Was a great ride he loved! The highlight of his life was his family. His joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all that loved him. He was survived by his wife, Kathleen Guillot, his son Jeffrey Earl Guillot and wife Carol Guillot, his daughters Lynnie Lynnette Guillot Smith and husband Michael Smith, MeLissa Anne Guillot Burge and husband Darin Burge, sisters Debra Guillot, Deirdre Guillot Pitre and husband Eddie Pitre, grandchildren Brodey Guillot and wife Bella Guillot, Joshua Truax, Trevor Smith, Breanna Kathleen Smith, Joshua Smith and wife Rachel Smith, Kolby Ducote, Makael Ducote LeBlanc and husband A.J. LeBlanc, Alicia Burge, Corey Burge and wife Valerie Burge, Jacob Guillot and wife Krista Guillot, Chelsea Kathleen Guillot, Christopher Fontenot and wife Caitlyn Fontenot, Christina Fontenot and wife Isabella (“Izzie”) Fontenot, great grandchildren Kinsley Guillot, Savannah Truax, Jessie Tengler, Jas Smith, Michael Smith, Maddie Ducote, Haleigh Ducote, Carter Ducote, Caleb Swindle, Evan Cline, Lainee LeBlanc, Brynlyn LeBlanc, Eliana (Eli) Guillot, Carson Guillot, Brooklyn Villenurve, Colton Frontenot, Bayah Milstead, nephew Reginal French, Jr. and wife Erin, Jacques Pitre and wife Caitlin Pitre, Josh Guillory and wife Jamie, niece Regina French Thompson and husband Bryan Thompson. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs, on Monday January 24, 2022 from 11am until Celebration of Life Service at 1pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by grandfather Clemile Guillory, grandmother Lucina Guillory, Grandfather Slavone Guillot, grandmother Corrine Guillot, father Wiltz Guillot, mother Rosalie Guillory Guillot, sister Sandra Guillot French, son Kevin “Tote” Earl Guillot, grandson Jimmy Tengler, nephew Grant Pitre. Pallbearers: Brodey Guillot, Kolby Ducote, Jacob Guillot, Trevor Smith, Christopher Fontenot, Corey Burge. Honorary Pallbearer: Jeffrey Earl Guillot

    My dear brother you will forever remain in my heart.
    Thank you for sharing these great stories of our family from past. We would not have got to know them as well. You always had a smile while telling us yet another adventures story. RIP. Fly high,Tine. You will be deeply, sadly missed. I love you….same here.
