On February 2, 2022 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by friends and family, Robert “Big Daddy” Lee Heisler, 74, went home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Robert Heisler is a veteran of the United States Army and worked as an electrician after his service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved cooking for his friends and family. Big Daddy loved the Lord above all else and lived his life as if he never met a stranger by showing love, compassion and kindness to all. He loved his family unconditionally and is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joan Heisler; daughters: Melissa Ramsey Eldridge, Shawn Wise, Renee Lovett and partner, Steve Moody; Toni Heisler Moore and partner, Stanley Thompson, Angela Heisler Navarro and partner, Joel Evans; son, Robert Jason Heisler; nine grandchildren: Whitley Eldridge Mihalik and husband, Justin Mihalik, Amber Wise, Molly Wise and partner, Devin Hooge, Amanda Anderson and husband, Brian Anderson, Tyler Moore and wife, Dakota Moore, Kaitlyn Johnson and husband, Heath Johnson, Devin Canterberry, Megan Williamson, and Matthew Heisler; and five great grandchildren: Alayah Ward, Saylor Hooge, McKenzie Powell, Parker Moore and Maverick Moore. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Byron Logan, and wife, Antje Logan, niece, Finya Logan; sister, Kay Hayden and beloved nephew, Bill Heisler. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers, Evaline McElroy Carlton and Lerah McCorkle Heisler; grandfathers, Harvey Heisler and Leon Carlton; mother, Joann Carlton Logan, and husband, Byron Butler Logan, father, Willie Heisler; brothers, Ray Roberts and Roger Dale Heisler, and many aunts and uncles. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Nurse Jenny Hernandez, Nurse Christy Hemphill and Legacy Hospice for the exemplary care provided. All services will occur at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 am with memorial service, officiated by Brother Wayne Mack will begin at 11:00 am and internment to immediately follow at Evergreen Gardens. Pallbearers include Eric Havard, William Havard, Peter Cantu, Stanley Thompson Darren Mallet and Jordan Padgett. Honorary Pallbearers are Byron Logan and Bill Heisler.
