David Lamar Bankston
Our sweet, loving, caring, goofy, and all around amazing dad, David Lamar Bankston, was called home to Heaven on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 61. David was born on January 16th, 1961 into a big and loving family. He had the sweetest soul and loved everyone he met, he was the absolute best.
It brings us comfort to know that he is in Heaven with his parents, Ernest “Bill” Bankston and Evelyn Estelle Bankston and his brother, Ernest Ronald Bankston. He brought so much joy, laughter and love to everyone he met and he was loved by so many. He is survived by his children Jessica Bankston Miller, husband Hunter, Dalton David Bankston & Jayme Danelle Bankston, his grandchildren, Kearney Darryl Miller and Kathryn Joy Miller, his brothers and sister, Terry Wayne Bankston, wife Iris, Kenneth Ray Bankston, wife Louise, and Linda Bankston Bennett, husband Bruce, and many nieces, nephews cousins, and long time friends who he all loved so very much.
David was a lifelong resident of Livingston, LA and a graduate of Doyle High School, class of 1979. Later in life David was given the opportunity to travel across the country for work where he fell in love with multiple cities but particularly Billings, Montana. Once he retired he got to do the things he loved most, fish, cook, and love on his two grandbabies.
We will all miss our morning coffees, our numerous telephone calls, our fishing trips, and just hanging out, loving life and loving each other. We are going to miss him so much. We love you dad and can’t wait to see you again!
Services for David will be on February 19th from 11am until memorial services at 1pm.
