Paxton, Derrian

March 11, 1994 – February 15, 2022

Derrian Chase Paxton was born on March 11, 1994 and passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 27. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he was the son of Kendra Harper May and Howard Vaughn Paxton. He attended St. Amant High and graduated from Centerville Academy. He enjoyed his occupation as an electrician for the last 6 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boiling crawfish and spending time with his dogs, Isabel and Luna, but the pastime he loved more than anything in this world was spending time with his babies. He also belonged to Hell’s Egos Motorcycle Club and loved to ride his Harley. He will be remembered for his silly sense of humor, his contagious laugh and having a smile that would light up any room. He is survived by his wife, Shelby, daughters, Sadie (2) and Sophia (1), sons, Caysen Colkmire (11) and Raysen Colkmire (6), sisters, Sydnie Paxton and Rachel May, brother Landon McBride, grandmother, Brenda Eppinett and grandparents Billy and Brigitte Paxton, as well as nephew, Zaiden, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Warren Harper. Visitation will be held at Healing Place Church, 19202 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10am until Celebration of Life Service at 12pm, conducted by Pastor Darryl Smith, Jr. Burial will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memories. Special thanks to everyone that has prayed for us, donated and supported us through this difficult time. Flowers or donations are appreciated. If you would like to donate, please contact Kendra Harper May, Derrian’s mom. Condolences may be offered at www.sealefuneral.com

      Aunt Brigette,

I hated seeing this on Facebook just now. I would like to attend the service. Please tell Howard I’m praying for him. Praying for all of you. I just can’t believe this. My fiance worked with Darian in the plants a few years back and had such good things to say about him. I’m so sad for his children and I know Sydney must be heartbroken as well. He was way too young to to leave this earth . His life was just beginning. I love /ou all very much and am praying for peace and understanding for each and every one of you. He was like a son to you. I can’t even imagine what you must be going through. I love you all very much.
