A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went to her eternal home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was 81 years old. Narcille was a native of Hessmer, raised her children in Jackson, LA. and later returned to Bunkie. She loved to cook, you never left her house without a full stomach and several containers of leftovers. She also loved going to the Paragon Casino, taking care of her cats, gardening, playing Bingo, WATCHING Wheel of Fortune, reading, and watching Hummingbirds. She leaves behind to cherish her memories three daughters, Joy Sullivan, Tracy Jones, Susan Allen; two sisters, Ella Jane Prewitt, Eloise Prattine; two brothers, Chester Normand, Oden Michael Normand Jr. nine grandchildren, Jeremy Pittman, Jesse Allen, Jamee Allen, Angie Sullivan, Lacey Sullivan Jones, Matthew Palacio, Bryanna Campbell, Hannah Campbell, Dalton Copelan; fourteen great-grandchildren, Krystal Paris Harrigill, Brandon Deon Harris, Jr., Daylan Vendor Williams, Trey Michael Jones, Macey LeAnn Jones, Alan Levi Passman, Lexas Jones, Autumn Jones, Adien Allen, Andrew Allen, Erin Pittman, Taylor Pittman, Nolan Allen and Zed Murray. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside service will be held at Redwood Cemetery on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 12pm, conducted by Rev. Paul Jones. Pall bearers will be Trey Michael Jones, Brandon Deon Harris Jr., Cody Eugene Holden, Angie Lee Sullivan, Shawn Michael Lindley and Shawn Passman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oden Michael Normand and Marie Zilda Daigrepont; two sons, James DeShotel, Joseph DeShotel; sister, Waver Jeansonne and two brothers, Rossell and Gene Normand.
