McQuiddy, Ryleigh

August 21, 2022 – March 18, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ryleigh Nicole McQuiddy announces her passing from this life on March 18, 2022 at the young age of 19. Ryleigh was a beautiful, free-spirited soul who held a genuine love and positive conviction that she gave others regardless of their circumstances or station in life. Ryleigh gave her energy to others who felt left out or unnoticed. She noticed the positive when others could only see the negative. Ryleigh was caring and benevolent, often willing to bear the burdens of the world around her that she desired to be a better place. Knowing the difference between empathy and sympathy, she lived her purpose of changing the world and the lives in it. Those of us left to cherish her memory shall strive to continue that purpose and “Change the World”. On the 24th day of March, 2022 we shall gather at Seale’s Funeral Home in Denham Springs to celebrate Ryleigh and share our love for her with each other.  Visitation shall be from 5pm – 7pm followed by the Memorial Service.  Officiating will be members of the family and friends. Ryleigh is survived by her father, Sean McQuiddy and Gabrielle Droddy; her mother, Jennifer Bullard McQuiddy; her sisters Megan and Bailey; brothers Peyton, Nicolas, William, Turner and Christian; nephews Cullen, Bentley and K.W.; grandparents Claudia and Jim Beeson, Morris and Nancy McQuiddy, Sally and Matt Clark, Randy and Denise Bullard and Patrick “PK” and Melony Knab; aunts and uncles Amanda and Britt Colon, Shannon McQuiddy, Ray McQuiddy, Tasha Delaney, Becca Delaney, Chris Pyron and Christopher Bullard; cousins Christian, Georgia and Jack Rodeillat.

Ry was one of the best friends I’ve ever had. Every time she walked in a room, it got a little brighter. She gave advice well beyond her years, and had a good head on her shoulders. Ryleigh was a beautiful soul that this Earth never deserved, but truly appreciated. She was full of so much compassion and understanding. She spoke with passion that you’d never expect someone her age to have. Ryleigh was a gift, and I feel so blessed to have met her. You will live on, beautiful. I love you.

Ryleigh was the brightest light this world will ever see. She taught people to be ok. She loved and cared for everyone that came in contact with her. Her memory will live on.
