April 29, 1991 ~ March 29, 2022

Carrie Morris, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 28th, 2022. Carrie spent most of her childhood in Northern California before relocating to Southeastern Louisiana, where she graduated from Port Allen High School with an ambition to continue her studies at Baton Rouge Community College to fulfill her dream of working in the fields of sociology and psychology.
In 2012, Carrie welcomed her one and only child, Ryder James Hamilton. Ryder was always at the forefront of Carrie’s mind, heart, and soul. She doted over her son throughout the last decade while putting her all into being the best mother her son could have.
Aside from her love of motherhood and her faith in God, Carrie enjoyed doing yoga, reading books, listening to music, dancing, hanging out with friends, smiling at every opportunity, and giving those she loved a helping hand; even if this meant she would go without. Carrie was passionate about everything in her life and loved her close friends and family dearly.
Carrie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Joyce Ann Morris, and her father, Matthew Edward Davis. She is survived by her son, Ryder James Hamilton, and a multitude of family and friends.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at Healing Place Church, located at 19202 Highland Rd. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
If you would like to bring flowers, Carrie had a love for sunflowers and orchids.
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, will be saved.”

Carrie…my heart hurts!! Lord knows we all have our issues, and have had issues, but that was really just confirming that you were part of this family. I always loved being around you. You made me laugh, were fun and passionate about those you loved. As we both got older, we understood each other more. We got along like sisters, and you are in my heart.
I promise to always tell Ryder how much you loved him, and remind how big your heart was. And because I love him and you, I’ll keep an eye out on him. Try to make sure that he still gets the type of nurturing care a mom can give. Big, soft hugs and hyping him up. I hope your would I light, free, and happy up there while you wait for us. I love you!
