August 19, 1979 ~ April 5, 2022

Sarah Alison Verzwyvelt, 42, of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 5, 2022. Sarah was born on August 19, 1979  in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent almost all of her life in Denham springs, attending Denham High School before later going to LSU. Sarah was a loving and proud mother to her one and only child Bella Claire Collier. She was also an amazing wife to her husband Gavin Verzwyvelt, a great sister to her only brother Jason Collier, and a beautiful daughter to her parents Jim and Lillie Collier.

Aside from Sarah’s love for her daughter and family, she cherished her 4 small dogs. She had a big heart and passion for animals. Sarah was known for her strong and outgoing personality. She never met a stranger, was quick to start a conversation and was kind to all. Sarah was taken from us too early, she had so much love left to give and so much life left to live. To say Sarah will be missed would be an understatement. She was, is, and will forever be  truly and deeply loved.

Sarah was a bright light in this universe and now the universe is a bit darker because of this tragic loss. Prayers to your mom and dad, Gavin and Bella.

Sarah was my best friend in the 9th grade. We used to listen to rock music (Meatloaf) together and laugh about looking at our reflections in the kitchen oven door. She never met a stranger. We reconnected on Facebook in 2019 and never got to meet for lunch like we planned. I have enjoyed watching her YouTube videos because she hasn’t changed a bit since we were young. Beautiful inside and out. I’m praying for her sweet parents, brother, husband and precious daughter.

I’ve know Sarah since she was three or four years old. From the time I moved into the subdivision where they lived. I meet her Mom Lillie and we became best friends to this day. My daughter Nikki and Sarah are friend to this day. I love Sarah for being the sweetest but very out spoken but kind person in the world. She would do anything to help anyone. She loved her family and close friends dearly.
She was so funny and could brighten your day with her smile. She was a ball of sunshine and a beautiful person in and out. You will always be missed and never forgotten. Your second mother. That was our joke. I love you Sarah always.
    Ms. Amelia
