Kathryn Stringer Crain went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 3:15pm. Kathryn was a native of Tylertown, MS and a resident of Walker, LA. Kathryn was retired from James Drug Store and Dearman’s Drug. She loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was known for having a green thumb and her beautiful flowers.

Kathryn is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Linda Crain (Wally) McGaughey, a son Glen A. Crain, grandchildren Stacey M. (Chad) Hollier, James (Debra G.) McGaughey, Alesha M. (Chris) Graham, Brandon Crain, Ashley Crain, Austin Crain and Caroline Crain, great grandchildren: Peyton (Amanda) Hollier, Mikayla (Jarred) Miller, Hilton McGaughey, Trevor Naquin, Jonathan Hollier, Krison Graham, Taylor Graham and Cambrie Lindsay, two great great-grandchildren, Lilly Naquin and Amelia Miller. Two sisters, Peggy Populis of Walker, LA and Betty (Earl) Rothermel of Aztec, NM, two sisters-in-law, Annette (Hal) Hendrick and Maureen Bourne of Pine, LA. and numerous and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Harold Crain, two sons, Benny Crain and Mark Crain, two grandsons, Christian Crain and Schaun Crain, four sisters, Thelma Thomas, Oneida Thomas, Zelia Crowe, and Mary Bateman, two brothers, Woodrow Stringer and Billy Stringer and a daughter-in-law, Janice Crain.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Thursday, April 14, 2022 beginning at 9:00am. Brother Mike Hegwood and Dr. Jason McNaughten will conduct funeral services at 11:00am. There will be a 2:00pm graveside service in Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pine, LA. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bridgeway Hospice and Golden Age Nursing Home for their care and support.     Mrs. Kathryn was a joy to be around all the time. We enjoyed her sense of humor and beautiful smile. She will be sadly missed. Our family mourn with yours. D.C. and Barbara Ballard family

    Maw Maw, you were a light in this world. From the moment I met you, I felt accepted and loved. Not many people have that affect on me. You leave behind a family and legacy worthy to be proud of! You are loved and will be missed dearly until we meet again in the Lord’s house.

    Maw Maw you had a heart of gold and all your kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and all nieces and nephews loved you all so much I could have never asked for someone better o teach me the good things in life I love you so much maw maw! I know your dancing at the feet of Jesus! We will never forget you! Your always watching over us! I wanna take after your foot steps as I grow in to a beautiful young women!
