Don Edward Stevenson, 79, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Don was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge, on Saturday, April 23 at 10 a.m. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brown Stevenson; children Brian Stevenson and Ginger Stevenson and husband, Ben Bartsch; grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Lee; mother, Delma Davis; and siblings, Janet Haley, James Stevenson, Joe Stevenson, Phyllis Bennett, Eddie Davis, and Philip Davis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Stevenson and wife, Dorothy; brother Royce Davis. A special thank you to the staff of The Carpenter House and Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center. Ms. Barbara, Brian & Ginger, our hearts go out to you during this time. Don was full of life and talent.He was always ready to lend a helping hand or share his vast knowledge.And God only knows how many strays he took in ? He will be greatly missed.
