We only met Ruben by mistake, some would think, but we know It was a Divine intervention by only God! He reached my Dad one night by calling a wrong number. My Dad is a joker and also above all, a Preacher. Ruben thot he was talking to him Mom and my dad went along with it. Me and my Dad both had a laugh thinking we would never hear from that guy again. Boy were We wrong. He called back the next day ,wrong number again. Trying to reach his mom. To make a long story short we Begin talking back and forth. We made a friend!!! We loved Ruben and had never met him!! He asked my Dad to pray for him everytime he called. That wrong phone call lead to my Dad witnessing and leading Ruben to ask Jesus to come Into his heart. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt phone friend, Ruben , which we have never met in person, we will meet in Heaven one day!!! We never know when our day will come! Make sure u know Jesus as your personal savior!!! Prayers for the family!!!

Rubin (aka as RUBIN EVAN and sweet pea). I know you are looking down on us, and I hope you have enjoyed your celebration of life these past few days! We have laughed, we have cried, and we have been silent. So many of your one liners and annoying detailed lessons have been implanted on all of us and yes, including me. I often catch myself referencing your quotes. Your imprint on Reagan and Rachie and even Paris are for life. Your “offsprings” are amazing, and you are loved over abundance times millions!!! You are at peace now! You will be missed, and I will continue to think of you daily!! Nite nite, I love you!!!!

We had a lot of good times during our tenure at Snap-on Tools.

Quality is not expensive, it’s priceless…. and so were you, Rubin!

This saddens me to the core!! He was an amazing guy. I knew him well when we were younger and as others said I wish we had more time together. My prayers to his family I briefly met Julie, and kids at Christmas lunch casino several years ago. And I only knew Russell and seen him a few times. My prayers to all of you. I live close to Rubins house if I can help in any way. Until we meet again my friend. Rubin you will be missed but never forgotten. Tina Guidry Eccles

I am so sorry to hear about Rubin. I will always have special memories of him in our lives. My heart goes out to Reagan and Racheal in the loss of your Dad. And Julie, no matter the circumstances, it is always sad for your children to lose their Father. My thoughts and prayers are with y’all during this difficult time.

Rachel and Reagan……we are always here should either or both of you need us. We will be traveling Sunday, so we won’t be able to attend, but know that y’all are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. We love y’all.
