Phil 1:6

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

A cherished wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, loving daughter, and endearing friend, Cathy Bridges departed into the arms of her Heavenly Father May 8, 2022.

She entered His rest and is now Home!  Her faith became sight, where pain, suffering, and tears no longer exist; only heavenlyjoy.

A woman of great faith, Cathy knew her Savior Jesus Christ hadconquered death and desired her loved ones to find comfort knowing she knew where she was going.

She was not afraid to leave her body behind to receive what God promised her.

Cathy’s sudden departure is painful to those she leaves behind.  The deep indentation she made into each person she met, will be forever remembered.

However, family and friends rejoice in the midst of sorrow knowing the separation is temporary for those who are in Jesus Christ.

Cathy, redeemed by His grace, exhibited her love for Jesus in the life she lived.

She lived a life like no other as she selflessly poured out herself in service to her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

We rejoice in the eternal legacy that Cathy left us and will continue on through her children and grandchildren.

2 Timothy 4:6-8

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Cathy leaves behind her husband and best-friend David of 46 years; one daughter, Michelle Bridges Turner; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Brooke Bridges; grandchildren Mandy Turner, Max Turner, Avery Bridges, and Wesley Bridges; her father, Jimmie Cranford; brother, Daryl Cranford; great-grand niece Alainna Cranford; mother-in-law, Betty Bridges; along with many other family members and friends who will miss the joy and light that came with knowing Cathy.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Thursday, May 12th, from 10 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs, LA. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local church or charity.

David & I are so sorry to hear of Cathy’s passing, but we know that she is in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul who will be sorely missed. We are keeping you & your family in our prayers for peace, strength, & comfort. We are so sorry we couldn’t attend her services, as we only learned of her passing today.

Cathy was such a wonderful, kind, friendly, Godly woman who was filled with the Holy Spirit. She was a good friend that will certainly be so sorely missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing her, and she will leave a void that will not be easily filled, but we can all rest assured that her light and love will be shinning brightly in Heaven above. Our prayer is that our Lord and Savior will wrap his arms around all of Cathy’s friends and family and grant us all strength and understanding.

Cathy will always be a dear friend of mine. We spent hours talking about our faith, laughing at each others stories and helping one another during those challenging times. That was a lot of phone time for sure. Vacations were a blast! She has given me enough material to laugh about for a lifetime. True friendships never fade away, they just wait their turn. She was a loyal friend and made our friendship easy. To say she is missed would be an understatement. May God continue to bless this entire family and make His presence known in a way only He can do. I’m just so sorry about Cathy.
