November 22, 1946 – May 14, 2022

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to his eternal home on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was 75 years old. David graduated from Live Oak High in 1964. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United State Air Force from 1964 until 1968. He was a pipefitter and Welding Inspector by trade and retired from Local 198 after 48 loyal years of service. David enjoyed fishing, Nascar, baking, painting, camping, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends, Especially the grandchildren. David was a Member of Live Oak United Methodist Church since 1965. He enjoyed serving God with his talents and his gentle spirit. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 56 years, Janice Jones Rodriguez; daughter, Lisa R. Lott and Bret; son, Robert Owen Rodriguez and wife Lenelle; four grandchildren, Cody Lott, Meghan Lott, Charles F. Andrews, Faith Rodriguez; three sisters, Betty Pique, Peggy Ott, Ruth Addison; brother, Jerry Rodriguez and wife Debbie; special sister-in-law, Mary Dee Wilkinson and husband Wayne; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation resumes on Thursday at Live Oak United Methodist Church from 10am until Celebration of Life Service at 12:30pm, conducted by Dr. Mark Crosby. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen G. Rodriguez and Elizabeth G. Rodriguez; two sisters, Paula Jones, Sue Todd Smith and his brother Mike Rodriguez.   Condolences may be offered at www.sealefuneral.com

    Mrs. Janice,

    I am praying for you and the family to be blessed with the Lord’s comfort and peace. Mr. David was one of the most kind and humble men I have known. I will miss him, but look forward to seeing him again in our glory.
