8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Barry passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Denham Springs at the age of 89. He was a retired industrial draftsman and a U.S Navy veteran of the Korean War. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Baton Rouge from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM conducted by Father Mike Maroney. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his sons, Robert M. Heil (Kathi) and John K. Heil; son-in-law, Alan Cutrer; sister, Betty Braud (Butch); brothers, Ray Heil (Beverly) and Leroy Heil (Ella); grandchildren, Sandi (John), Cody, Allyson (Ed), Eric (Ali), Chad and Jonathon; great grandchildren, Cole, Logan, Mason, Elijah, MIa, Nathaniel Cox and Caden Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Mark and Orelda King Heil; daughter, Monica Sue Cutrer; brothers, Teddy, Tommy and Leo Heil. Pallbearers will be John Stewart, Eric Cutrer, Chad Cutrer, Ed Cox, Cody Heil and Jonathon Simpson. He was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Barry was an avid golfer. Will always have nothing but fond memories of Mr. Barry. I looked at him for many years as an almost second father. He was definitely a role model. He had patience that most parents strive for. He will be greatly missed.
