To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under Heaven.A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Ecclesiastes 3:4A After a brief illness, Charles Randall Populus passed away at the age of 62 on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Randy was born in Baton Rouge, La. and a resident of Denham Springs, La. He loved motorcycles and loved to ride. He was a Star Wars fanatic and acquired quite a collection of memorabilia over the years. In the words of Randy’s very dear and longtime best Buddy, Preston Temple who had this to say about him, “Randy was a Great man who played Hard and loved just as hard. He excelled in music, computers, and in life. He will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. As he was a star trek (Treaky fan) I wish him warp speed “To boldly go where no man has gone before.” Captain James T. Kirk & Spock” Randy was also a John Wayne fan and a collector of his movies. He was an IT Tech with Moody Price before retiring in 2008. Randy is survived by his mother, Mary Populus, a brother, Darryl Populus (Kim), a sister, Shan Miller (David) and a brother in law, Randy Riley. He is also survived by his extended family, Seantelle Travis as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Herman Populus, sister, Gayle Populus Riley, brother, Daniel Keith Populus, Maternal grandparents, Edward and Loretta Cruthirds, Paternal grandparents, Caz and Luetta Populus. May our Lord and Savior hold you in the palm of His Hand and until we meet again, you will always remain in our hearts. Randy, you will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice for their diligent care and a special thank you to Melody for her incredible patience. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 Private memorial to be held at a later date. Seale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    I live in Tennessee now, so Im just now learning of Randy’s passing. Mary, I can not imagine the pain you are going through. I pray that God wraps His arms around you, like only He can, and helps ease the pain of losing another child. You, Daryl and the rest of the family have my sincerest sympathy!

    I’ll miss you until the day our Lord Jesus calls me home. You suffered so much but God gave you a special angel the last two months of your life. Your precious sister in law, Kim Populus. You are now in the arms of God and with your Dad, sister and your oldest brother and also your grandparents.

    With all of my heart, I wish you had not been sick. I wish you would have had more time. I know now that you are healed and no longer uncomfortable. I know you are in the biggest and best hands ever.
