He passed away in the arms of his wife. Siblings are: Johnny Thurmond (Jennifer), Joel Thurmond (Jill), Linda Bellina (David), Sundi Caitlin (Marc), Dawn Dunaway Davis (Clay), Sister in laws considered sisters Crystal Decareaux, Michelle Hamilton, and Denise Gaudet. Preceded in death by: parents John and Phyllis Thurmond. Stepfather Charles Dunaway, Francis and Sandra Lanclos. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved and spoiled.
