Like Page commented, I spent many Saturday nights at the Old South Jamboree in Walker. I played bass guitar for the Anthony Brothers and later for the staff band at Old South. Edward was a fine gentleman and a gifted singer and musician. I have fond memories from those early days and was blessed to know Edward. My prayers for his wife and family.

Thanks Grady. We have many fond memories made at the OSJ. Loved when we got a Saturday night off and Lester Hodges would book y’all to back up singers and we could have a family Sat nite date nite. Would love an update on the Anthony brothers. Still living, playing or retired taking it easy? I am Brenda Wascom Averette on FB if you use that. We loved our OSJ family. So glad to reconnect with some of you! Loving memories of you all.
