Brian Christopher McLain passed away peacefully in his home in Walker, La. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 9:32 PM. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on December 16, 1987 to James “Mac” McLain and Lee Ann Gill.

Brian proved to be a true miracle by surviving and overcoming many odds after his motor vehicle accident in 2012. Throughout his illness he showed an unmeasurable amount of courage and strength. His determination to get home led him to be able to spend his last 5 days there watching movies, listening to his favorite music, eating ice cream, and being cared for by his family and friends before his passing.

Brian was an avid outdoorsman and found adventure wherever he went. He loved to hunt, fish and cook while spending time with family. He loved being Hunter’s daddy who was his motivation and pride & joy.

He worked with his late father as a fireproofing foreman in several states throughout his career.

Brian will be missed by his wife Brandy McLain, son Hunter James McLain, and step-daughter Lexye Browning. He is also survived by his mother Lee Ann Gill, grandmother Mildred Rosen, two brothers and and sisters-in-law; Brandon & Erin McLain and Jonathan & Haylie McLain along with nieces Summer and Allison, Aunt Kim & Uncle Bobby Landreneaux, cousins Michael, Samantha & Christopher, cousins Janelle & Amy Freeman, Step Mother, Brooke McLain, step brothers and sisters-in-law; James Kyle & Rachel Henderson and Zachery & Kasey Foster; nieces and nephews; Knox, Riley, Jace, & Kylan Henderson, Saphera & Ronen Foster, Aunt Dana & Uncle Benny Hayes, second cousin Noah Hayes, Uncle Darin & Aunt Karla “Sissy” Whitehead; cousins Amber Lee Fike and Hannah Whitehead along with second cousins: Malachi Gabriel-Jamal Stevens, Sam “SamSam” S., Braxton Riche S., Kadence Avaeh Tolliver, & Kinzley Brielle Tolliver and Alena Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Father James “Mac” Arnold McLain Jr., paternal grandparents James A. & Barbara McLain, maternal grandfather Gene Edward Gill , second cousin Aaron Hayes.

A memorial and celebration of life for Brian will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, La. On Saturday August 20, 2022 from 12-1pm.

    Brian will be greatly missed, I so wanted to bring him fishing one last time. He was the son I never had. A very loving and caring person. Rest in peace my love, no more suffering. I know Mac is waiting to take you fishing.
