PV2 Andrew Riley Kiger passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home in Gulf Shores, AL. He was 23 and know by his family as “Smiley” and by his military brothers, as “Good Conduct Kiger”. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:30am. Father Jason Palermo will officiate. He is survived by his parents, Dean and Kyleen Smith, son, Ronin Rivera, brothers, Allen Thomasson and wife Brittney, Marshall Thomasson and wife Skylar, and Ian Smith. He was also survived by his grandparents, Greg Kiger, Robert Smith, and Cheryl Coney Arnold along with nieces Evangeline and Magnolia THomasson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ingrid Smith, and Jo-Anne Stafford Kiger and uncle Jacob Kiger. Andrew was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army, D CO 2-14 IN, 10th MTN Div. “Demons”; A CO 2 PLT “Reapers”, and served one tour in Afghanistan. He received the Army Commendation Medal, W/C Device / Meritorious Unit Commendation/ Army Good Conduct Medal / National Defense Service Meal / Afghanistan Campaign Medal W/ Campaign Star/ Army Service Medal / Overseas Service Ribbon / NATO Medal / Combat Infantryman Badge. He avidly trained in MMA and loved fishing and drawing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made on his behalf to the USO. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com
