Sharpe, Shawn

December 26, 1966 – September 11, 2022

Shawn Dunn Sharpe, 55, passed away on September 11, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her most. As always, she fought like a warrior to her very last breath.

Shawn is survived by her children Christina Dunn, Austin Bihm, Collin Bihm (Link Cannon) and Gunner Sharpe; and grandchildren JohnLee and Gabriel Lockhart and Orion Bihm and his mom, Chloe Doyle.  She is also survived by her siblings Sherrye Dunn, John W. Dunn, III (Patti), Jeff W. Dunn, Sr. (Cathy) and Jimmy Dunn (Shawn), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Also by her side through her greatest battle was her best friend and love, Troy Roundtree. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Dunn, Jr. and Jewel Watts Dunn, and her husband, Clark Sharpe.

Although she only had 4 biological children, many others called her “MOM” and she loved them all fiercely and welcomed all into her home.  She loved to cook for her family, she loved being outdoors on the property in Greensburg with Troy, and riding in her bright green Jeep with the top down.  Shawn also loved a good conspiracy theory!

Honorary pallbearers will be her children and siblings.  The family wishes to thank the many extended family and friends who have prayed with us and supported us during Shawn’s illness, especially her boyfriend Troy.  His love, support and care for our mom and sister can never be repaid.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 5pmuntil Celebration of Life Service at 7pmat Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Condolences may be offered at www.sealefuneral.com.

I will never forget you girl, you called fericly as I travel the 48 states doing my job as a truck driver. You let me know the weather, the danger around me as driving to my destinations. I loved you for watching out for me. I had no female friends until I met you.
You are and will always be in my heart
Until we meet again keep your wings around me. I love you
