Carolyn Sue Reeves, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Baton Rouge. Born December 23, 1949 to Edith Theriot and Nathan U. Reeves. Carolyn was a prayerful, kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to all. She was a retired teacher from the Livingston Parish School System, for 20 years. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family. Especially those times centered around holidays and birthdays that included her granddaughters, Madilyn and Audrey. She loved the special trips carefully planned by her loving sister Sharon, to the “Dinner Bell” with special guests, her Aunt Ann and her Aunt Sylvia.  She was forever dedicated to praying the “Divine Mercy Chaplet” for all those that she loved and did not know. In her eyes everyone was deserving of prayer.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Kristy Harrison and her loving son-in-law, Todd Douglas Harrison; two granddaughters, Madilyn Rayne Harrison and Audrey Reese Harrison; two siblings, Ronald “Bud” Reeves (Debbie) and Sharon Susan-Ann Reeves; Aunt Sylvia Theriot Wax and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Edith Reeves; and her beloved pets, Anna and Belle.

A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Denham Springs at 930 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11 am on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.  Burial will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her nephews; Joey, Noah, Joshua and Jacob Harrell, Garen Grashot and Jeff Frantz.

Special thanks to her caregivers Nikki, Cricket and Sherri and to the nurses and staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice. Please visit www.sealefuneral.com to leave condolences to the family. Mass remembrances for Carolyn may be made at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

I had the honor of being one of Ms. Reeves’ caretakers during the last two months. In that time, she impressed me with her quiet generosity of spirit and with her benevolence.
Through our conversations & my own observation, I saw that even when she didn’t feel great, her spiritual focus was always on prayer for others.
I am glad to have been among her circle of friends and family. I hope I brought her comfort & reflected her own loving kindness back upon her at all times.
I will miss Ms. Caroline, but am glad she is now free of discomfort or limitation as she enjoys the peace of the heavenly kingdom.
