May 5, 1981 ~ November 3, 2022

Ginger was called home to Heaven to be with the Lord on November 3, 2022 at the age of 41. She was a very intelligent quick-witted free spirit who made everyone she met laugh. She was a loving sister, daughter, wife, and friend.  Her infectious smile would light up a room.  She was loved by everyone she met. She was an avid animal lover and loved to travel every chance she could with her friends, husband, and co-workers.   Ginger received her Master’s Degree from LSU in Pathobiological Science in 2006 and went on to graduate from Southeastern School of Nursing in December 2013. She worked at both Ochsner Hospital campuses in Baton Rouge and New Orleans and met great faithful friends who supported her throughout her entire career. A special thanks to the staff at both hospitals for her exceptional care and especially Melissa, Ioana, and Yvette for all their tireless care, especially in the last month. No words can express their devotion and love to Ginger and our family. Also, Bridgett at hospice was a wonderful help and comfort and stayed through the end. Ginger is survived by her loving husband Peter and their “children”- 6 rescue dogs. She will be greatly missed by her mother and father- Pat and Doug Robertson, sister Marcy Bernard and brother-in-law Matt, niece Cate and nephew Brock, brother and sister-in-law Brian and Patricia King and niece Olivia and Randy and Pauline Gray and niece Megan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 15160 S. Harrell’s Ferry Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 beginning at 10:00am. Memorial services will be held at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of the Animals Dog Adoption House, 8476 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge La 70808 will be appreciated. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com

May He who makes peace in His high holy places, bring peace upon all who love and mourn the passing of Ginger. May her memory bless all who love her. May her mother, father and sister be comforted by the Most High. May all who cherished her in life seek the One, Almighty God, who created us all and rejoice for the day when we are reunited with the Lord God, with Ginger is His presence. Beverly and I love you dearly. Though death separate us for a season, our love for you goes on, yearning for a reunion in the incorruptible heights of heaven.

I just can’t believe Ginger is gone. Oh what fun she had pestering Marcy and I at the house on Cumberland Cove. And oh what fun Marcy and I had pestering Ginger right back! I have so many wonderful childhood memories with Mr. Doug, Ginger and Marcy at that house. I might have spent more time there than at my own house. Ginger, you grew up to be such a beautiful person and I know this loss is so great for your family. Rest In Peace sweet girl.

Dear Patti and all the family,
We are so lucky to have counted Ginger among our extended family . She was always a cheerful addition to any gatherings at the Martin household. We are so sad for your family, but pray the loss will be softened by loving memories of her favorite things. May you feel the presence of God always.
Love Debi and Doug Handy, and all the Handy kids.
