November 2, 1963 ~ November 4, 2022

Jill Michelle Spence, 59, went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2022 at 7:19 p.m. surrounded by her family. Her last words were “no more pain.” She resided in Denham Springs. Jill battled cancer and did everything to have family and friends around her. She loved her family and friends and loved to laugh. She enjoyed riding Slingshots, long drives, and just spending time with her fiancé Paul. She loved fishing and the outdoors. Flowers made her smile and people made her laugh. Her dog Buddy will sadly miss his best friend. Jill enjoyed gatherings with friends.  When she had something to say, she never held her tongue and was always truthful. Ronnie and Ronnie Jr. helped with her care and support. They did not leave her side. Special thanks to them, Paul, Janet, Lisa and all who loved her. Janet is survived by her son, Ronnie Spence Jr., her ex-husband Ronnie Spence Sr., her fiancé Paul Vicknair, her granddaughter Cianna Spence, and grandson Caden Spence (and her dog Buddy, of course!). Jill was preceded in death by her parents Billy Joe Elkins and Edith Elkins, her brother Steve Elkins, her son Brandon Spence, her precious baby girl, Megan Spence, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Junior Spence and Geraldine Spence. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Friday at 9:00am. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Sunshine on her shoulders made her happy, sunshine almost always made her smile. And we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God and who are called according to his purpose.

Jill, I miss you already. No more pain, tears or struggles. Thank you for the smiles, laughs and more. You will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. So let “Jill-ette” rest. Your work here on earth is done. I will forever miss you my friend. I know that you are now with the Angels. Lots of Love…. until we meet again.

So sad to say goodbye to you and Steve. Mrs Edith and Mr Bill. It doesn’t seem real that your entire family is gone so fast. We’ve had some great memories growing up. You would yell “Valerie, can you come over?” Our mothers were so strick. As we got alittle older our weekends consist of Skate City Friday nights and swimming at KOA on Saturdays. Those were the days.
Walking to Miller’s store to buy a snack and a drink. I think we knew every inch of our old neighborhood on Walnut and Chestnut. Thinking back of all the bad times you’ve gone through first Megan, your parents, Brandon,Steve. At least your rewards are being reunited with all of them. You were a true friend. We would always share a friendship like no other. I am really going to miss you, but I’m happy that you aren’t in anymore pain. You are happy to be surrounded with your loved ones. This is not goodbye, it’s until we meet again. Fly high my friend…..see you on the other side
