Landry, Brandon

July 13, 1979 – November 30, 2022

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Brandon Joseph “BJ” Landry was born on Friday, July 13, 1979 in Baton Rouge and entered the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  Brandon lived a short 43 years on this earth, but during those years he touched the lives of all he met.  He had a heart of gold, a contagious smile, and a strong embrace.  To know Brandon was to love him.  Brandon had a love of sports – which he excelled at in all of his school years – and always had a large cheering section to support him. He had a God-given talent for installing tile. He did this meticulously and beautifully throughout his working years, and he took pride in every job he did. He loved all things LSU, fishing, motor bike riding, playing chess, and spending time joking with his family and friends. He trusted fully in his Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation, and he shared that love of God with many he met on his life’s journey. Brandon loved with all his heart and he loved BIG. Brandon is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerome & Anna Mae Burns Landry, and his maternal grandfather Raymond Joseph Morgan. He is survived by his son Carter Joseph, his loving parents Jerome “Jerry” & Brenda Landry, his maternal grandmother Lovie Jean Morgan, his sister and brother-in-law Michelle & Jeff Durr, his brother and best friend Todd Landry, nieces Morgan Durr Harris D.D.S (Jonathan), Maddie Durr, Alexa & Skylar Landry, nephew Jasper Landry, and great-niece Landry Jean Harris. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brandon had a special relationship with his cousin and best friend Kevin “Bubba” Dunn & family, who will miss him dearly.  Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 1:00 pm until celebration of life service at 3:00pm on SUnday, December 4, 22022,  conducted by his friend Rev. Troy Bragalia.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital in honor of his great love he had for his nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin “Bubba” Dunn Brian Leachman, Gerren Babin, Mike Schittone, Joel Kinabrew, Jake Shattuck, Damon Tourere, Don Tate, Tristan Mancuso, Damian Zumo, Dustin Callendar, Blaine Pizzolato, Mike Pizzolato, Darrin Richard & Sonny Ventrella. Brenda , Jerry , Michelle, Todd & my entire Morgan-Landry family,
God only know’s our trial’s an we must remember He to will see us through. Our losses will sometimes seem meaningless no matter our actions. May you each find a continuous bounty of memories of those special shared moments that only you could have, mine was knowing that sweet shinny face all clean and dress in his western snap shirt , jeans and cowboy boots after being scrubbed by his Mama after playtime in the backyard. Or answering the door with just his briefs and his cowboy boots smiling ear to ear. What a picture of perfection that little guy was and is now. God bless you all with His comfort and Grace knowing BJ is peacefully home with those gone before him an awaits you.
Prayers of condolences , Debbie S Alday
