Guy Edward Decker passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday December 25, 2022. He was born in Arnaudville, Louisiana to the late Douglas Burns Decker and Emelie Arnaud Decker on September 7, 1942. He lived his life to serve others.  His career began with service in the United States Air Force.  He worked the majority of his career as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  He was an ordained deacon in the Catholic church and served in 2 parishes – St George and St Teresa.  Upon his retirement from the FBI, he continued to work and serve as a teacher, chaplain in the prison system and as a chaplain at St. Elizabeth hospital. He is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years Sandra Decker, their 3 children (Stephen Decker, Kimberly Decker Picou, and Tasha Decker Moran) 8 grandchildren (Maggie Decker, Daniel Decker, Jacob Decker, Alaina Poche, Vincent Picou, Gretchen Picou, Gabrielle Moran, Kyle Moran II) his beloved mom Emelie Decker, his siblings (Kathleen Decker, Michael Decker, Douglas Decker, Patricia Jones and Burns Decker) as well as many other cherished relatives. Visitation will be held at St George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday January 7, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00.  A mass will follow visitation at 11:00.  The Interment will be at Rosaryville Cemetery in Ponchatoula Louisiana. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in his name to St Jude Children’s Hospital or to the charity of your choice.     Sandra, I just found out about Guy’s passing. I am so sorry and know exactly how you feel since my wife Connie passed on December 3. I thank the Lord for every moment he granted me in her company, and am sure you do also with Guy. We know they are now with Jesus watching over us, but it is hard not to miss them. I am letting my memories of Connie make me feel her presence and then the sadness is less, You and your family are in my prayers. God bless you.
