June Strickland Ott

June Strickland Ott went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2023. June was born March 30, 1949, to Willie W. and Wilma R. Strickland, who have preceded her in death. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.  She enjoyed participating with her ladies Sunday School Joy Group, where she served as secretary / finance chair, serving as a core leader of the Northside Baptist Church Merry at Heart Group Senior Adult Ministry, along side beloved friends Diane Walker and Mary Potter. June is survived by her sons Charles D. and wife Angela, Chad W. and wife Megan, daughter Kristy Gremillion and husband Damon. Grandchildren Mallory and Brooklyn Ott, Ian and Jaclyn Jones, sister Betty S. Gill and husband Jackand her favorite niece Ashley McElveen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Charles D. Ott, Sr. and her sister Patsy Ragsdale.

Visitation will be held at Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs, LA, Monday, January 9 from 5p.m. until service at 7p.m. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 10 at Ott Cemetery, Mt. Hermon, LA, at 1p.m.

Donations in-lieu of flowers are requested to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, http://myasthenia.org.

    Ms June was one of my very special friends. I was her home infusion nurse for quite awhile. Once I retired and was in the area we would take or go out for lunch. Mr Chuck was also a good friend. I learned so much from them both. God has two very important souls. May they watch over all of us.

    Charles, Angela, Mallory & Family: I send my sincerest condolences for the loss of Mrs. June. It sounds like she lived a full & prosperous life, serving the Lord & loving generously. She is now being rewarded. May you be comforted with precious memories & blessed assurance.
